NDAC granted planning consent for new facilities building
We are excited to announce that the National Diving and Activity Centre has successfully gained a full planning consent from The Forest of Dean District Council for the erection of a three storey modular facilities building at our Tidenham site.
The consent will support NDAC’s future growth and continued investment into the business, create local employment and provides wider community support for the area as a whole.
The modular sections of the new building were recently delivered by over 60 articulated trucks to the National Diving and Activity Centre from their previous home at a strategic site just outside of London.
Once the site building works and refurbishment have been completed, the facilities building will be the first of its kind for the activities at the National Diving and Activity Centre. It will have an impressive footprint of over 4,500 metres over three floors and will support our operations and continued growth into 2022 and beyond.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank the Forest of Dean District Council’s Planning team for their continued forward thinking, advice, guidance and support throughout this planning process, which has been over five months long.
We would also like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to the Local Community and Parish Council of Tidenham who have taken the time to write letters and complete a petition of support for the application. Your positive and constructive support for the application, and continued interest in the National Diving and Activity Centre is just great to see. This was evident by the 200+ letters of support and a petition of over 1,000 names.
As you will see from the photos, there is lots of work to be done! However works on the facilities building will start straightaway and we look forward very much to updating you all on our progress.
