Rock stability netting installed at the National Diving & Activity Centre
Here is a sneak preview of the first 30 metres of rock stability netting that has been installed at the National Diving & Activity Centre over the last few days.
iBEX, a local geotechnical services company have been onsite and carrying out the installation.
The programme of works are being undertaken to install around 120 metres of safety netting around the turning circle and the bottom of the slope, by the slipway and water’s edge.
Prior to the works starting a full and detailed geotechnical assessment was created by Atkins; a geotechnical engineering company who have been working with us over the last 12 months.
We hope to have all the netting works completed by the end of September 2020 in preparation for when we reopen for scuba divers at the end of October.
